Ladders

The current IRC Code requires Egress Wells that are 44” deep or higher to have a means to climb out of the well. The current IRC Code requires any egress window wells that are 44” deep or greater to have either a ladder or steps to allow for easy exit during an emergency.

Extensions and Replacements



Extensions are used to increase the height of a window well that had been installed below the grade. It is important to have a well at least a few inches above grade to protect water seepage and the grate potentially eroding into the well. Please call us at (630) 792-0069 for more information.
